Eli and Mel have much more in common with the Ghost Busters than you might think. In this episode Eli proves that not even the most middle-class of bedroom communities is safe from hauntings and rumors of spirits, Mel proves that sometimes you can pretend like you’re mildly interested in a half-cocked narrative about a man who had it all. The promising law career, the beautiful young wife with her own money, the child, and the lovely house in the nice part of town. Then the true hero of the story makes the man a partner in his failing business, gets him divorced from his wife, marries the woman, wears his pajamas, sleeps in his bed, and in every sense of the word usurps the poor man’s life. But the joke’s on him. Little did anyone know that was the exact recipe that bakes a ghost pot-pie in this episode of…The Haunting of Crandell House.
