In this episode, The D.U.S.E. celebrates its one year anniversary! 365 days of delivering you the finest, purest, snortiest evil this world has to offer. We honestly didn’t think we’d make it this far. So what better way to usher in another year of greatness than discussing a case that will never be solved? That’s right folks: the Texarkana Moonlight Murders! WWII had just ended, people were hot and bothered, getting it on in the woods at night, and a murderer was on the loose in Texas. Only two of his victims could give a description of the pillow-case he wore over his head and the gun he shot them with. Dubbed “the Phantom,” this man was a true maniac. Not only did he decide to murder people, but he chose to do it in the Lone Star State, a place where only two things get them in the mood: public executions and the newest Remington rifle. It’s a different kind of pride than you’re used to. Despite being the ‘town that dreaded sundown,’ everyone in Texarkana proved that they were loud and proud of being…Texas Gunsexuals!
