No really, they did. But since it’s the Victorian Era, where shit ran through the gutters and murder was around every corner, their efforts to protect babies was like sailing a paper boat from Florida to Africa. The idea was there, but the execution needed some work. Speaking of executions, this loving lady helped so many baby souls reach the pearly gates she unlocked a rare title: “The Ogress of Reading”! She occasionally had to move her operation and take a fake name, but that never stopped her from chasing the bag. YASSS QUEEN!
