The DUSE flips the switch on the Wayback Machine for a look at the Roaring 20’s and a wealthy town rocked by the gruesome murder of a beautiful young woman. Mamie Thurman was a modest housewife, church volunteer, library treasurer, and… frequented speakeasies, brothels, and the bedrooms of the rich and powerful. I mean why live one life when you can live two? Mrs. Thurman might have been the victim of a jealous rage, or maybe she just paid the price for mingling with the sordid underworld of money, drugs, and sex in… West Virginia!
